Got my Nikon D80 (12 years old) out of the box again...

After some years I have started to use my 'old' Nikon and I am loving it... here are some recent shots, enjoy!

Above is the church of St Mary the Virgin in Little Bursted, Billericay, Essex.

Above in black and white is St Nicholas Church, Laindon, Essex.

Both these churches were built around the 12th Century.

Places: Girona

Girona, Spain and the Cathedral there, which was very interesting to walk around and take in! A great city and a super place for a couple of days of site seeing and interest!

Animals: Fox (Urban)

A Fox that visited my mother in law's garden on a regular basis and this time, when I shot this, it looked like it had either been in a fight or had some other incident, as it looked hurt.

It was very docile and I was able to get very close as the fox took no notice of me while I was clicking away!

Nature: Grand Canyon

This was taken on our 2010 trip we made with a stop to the west rim of the Grand Canyon. It is a totally amazing place and we want to go back again and see more!

We had the chance while we were there to go out onto the 'SkyWalk' platform that has a glass floor so you can walk out and look down below your feet at the floor of the canyon!

At times and at places like this, you really begin to understand that nature is bigger than us!

Flowers & Nature

This is a Clematis that grows in my garden and I caught this shot along with a wasp/hover fly insect when I was shooting the picture. No editing on this one, this is how it came out on camera!

Nature: Trees

I love trees, always have, even wanted to work for the Forestry Commission when I was young!

This tree is in Norsey Woods, Billericay and not that far from when I was born!

Places: San Francisco

The classic Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco.

This shot was taken on the north end looking south. We only had a day in San Francisco with my old school friend Kevin, he is based in the area and has lived there for over 10 years or more, he is even an American citizen now too!

It was Kevin that told us about this viewing spot of the bridge. It was not hard to find and once there, it takes your breath away!

We shall be going back to visit more of San Francisco and also see Kevin and his lovely wife again!
