Places: Girona
Girona, Spain and the Cathedral there, which was very interesting to walk around and take in! A great city and a super place for a couple of days of site seeing and interest!
Animals: Fox (Urban)
A Fox that visited my mother in law's garden on a regular basis and this time, when I shot this, it looked like it had either been in a fight or had some other incident, as it looked hurt.
It was very docile and I was able to get very close as the fox took no notice of me while I was clicking away!
Nature: Grand Canyon
This was taken on our 2010 trip we made with a stop to the west rim of the Grand Canyon. It is a totally amazing place and we want to go back again and see more!
We had the chance while we were there to go out onto the 'SkyWalk' platform that has a glass floor so you can walk out and look down below your feet at the floor of the canyon!
At times and at places like this, you really begin to understand that nature is bigger than us!
Flowers & Nature
This is a Clematis that grows in my garden and I caught this shot along with a wasp/hover fly insect when I was shooting the picture. No editing on this one, this is how it came out on camera!
Nature: Trees
I love trees, always have, even wanted to work for the Forestry Commission when I was young!
This tree is in Norsey Woods, Billericay and not that far from when I was born!
Places: San Francisco
The classic Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco.
This shot was taken on the north end looking south. We only had a day in San Francisco with my old school friend Kevin, he is based in the area and has lived there for over 10 years or more, he is even an American citizen now too!
It was Kevin that told us about this viewing spot of the bridge. It was not hard to find and once there, it takes your breath away!
We shall be going back to visit more of San Francisco and also see Kevin and his lovely wife again!
Places: The Maldives
The Maldives are a collection of small islands in the Indian Ocean that are just beautiful.
Not only that, the Indian Ocean is breath taking and you can see from my photograph above, the azure blue sea that is gorgeous and a delight to swim in!
The Indian Ocean is home to the most wonderful marine life and we saw a shark among many other fish and sea creatures!
I think another holiday trip to the Maldives is on the cards some time in the few years!
Places: Santa Barbara
Santa Barbara, California is a beautiful place to visit! This is a shot looking north up the beach path towards the pier area in the distance.
I took this shot when my wife and I were there in November 2010 and as you can see, the weather was perfect! Blue shies and sunshine and hot!
We stayed in a really nice hotel and enjoyed dinner in a lovely fish restaurant that evening!
If you have never been to Santa Barbara, then make sure you do visit some day!
People: Japanese Wedding
My wife and I have had the pleasure to visit Japan twice now and we just love Tokyo! This shot was taken when we were site seeing at a temple on a Sunday. There were weddings taking place during the time we happen to be there. I sneaked this shot of members of one of the weddings there and I was really pleased with this result! There were posing for another Japanese photographer but I went up and they kindly help the pose for me, although the young boy seems to be wishing he was somewhere else!
Places: Gozo
Gozo is a beautiful Mediterranean island that sits off the north of Malta and is a must place to visit for anyone!
You can find out everything you need to know about Gozo here on their website!
People: Michael
I love photography and capturing people on camera if such fun. Here is a very good friend of mine, Michael, who lives in Sarasota, Florida. Michael and I have known each other for ten years now and my wife and I have become very good friends with Michael and we always love visiting him!
This shot of Michael is just how I shot it on the day, it was morning time, about 10am if I remember correctly and the sunshine through the trees and plants threw some nice shadows across the composition.
Flowers: Orchids
Orchids are another truly beautiful flower and I always love looking at these flowers.
The shot above was taken in Singapore in March this year. My wife and I were on holiday and we had a stop at the Botanical Gardens there, it was a fantastic place to visit!
You can see their website by clicking here
Flowers: Roses
Roses are such beautiful flowers and it is wonderful that there are so many different varieties all over the world! This rose was located in the gardens of Ringling Museum of Art in Sarasota, Florida and if you ever get a chance to visit Sarasota, then I can highly recommend a visit to the Ringling Museum of Art, click here to visit their website
The photo above was edited in photoshop, where I only added the black graduated side to the right of the rose, giving it more depth to the deep colour hues. The rose itself was not altered and is how I took the shot on the day!
Flowers : Blue
Flowers are so interesting to photograph and I am always amazed at the beauty of colour that they display. Blue is the colour today and I hope you enjoy the shot of these charming blue flowers!
This shot was taken at Hyde Hall gardens in Essex, click here for their website
